Personal Skin Care
How you take care of your skin can often prevent the occurrence of
acne breakouts. Here are a number of things you can do to take better
care of your skin:
Wash your skin:
Gently wash your skin with a cleanser that's mild, one time in the
morning, and a second time in the evening, and especially after an
intense workout. Wash your face--beginning beneath the chin to the
hairline. It's quite important to always rinse completely the skin after
each wash.
Shaving with acne:
Men who have acne and shave, may experiment with safety and electric
razors to feel which of the two proves more comfortable. If you use a
safety razor, strongly consider utilizing a sharp blade; also, it's a
good idea to fully soften the beard with water and soap prior to
applying shaving cream.
Avoid over tanning and sunburn:
Keep in mind that the prescribed medications that anyone may use for
treating acne may cause him or her to become more prone to sunburn.
Do not frequently handle your skin:
Anyone who are guilty of popping, squeezing, or picking on their pimples
are risking the real possibility of developing dark blotches or scars.
People are strongly advised not to touch or rub their skin lesions.
Popping pimples is a guarantee way to getting scars.
Selecting makeup:
If you are currently undergoing an acne treatment, you might have to
avoid using certain cosmetics. Ideally, your cosmetics should be free of
oil. If uou are not sure, check the label.
Apply hot compresses:
Apply hot compresses to cysts and pustules.
Kill Bacteria:
Use an antibacterial cleanser that contains benzoyl peroxide to kill
bacteria. You can also use other kinds of products as gels, lotions, and
creams.
Cutting oil:
Get rid of skin's surface oil by using a gentle toner or other products
that have glycolic acid. Consider masques that contain sulfur for
removing facial oil.
